I placed mine just before the -vmargs option. For the second option, you need to change the eclipse.ini file by giving the vm path using the -vm option so that it won't take the default Java version for your computer. You can start Eclipse either using command prompt (in Windows) by giving command like C:\eclipse>eclipse.exe -vm "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe" or by double clicking on the exe file. Like many pointed out here your Eclipse, Java, and the OS should of the same bit architecture.
#ECLIPSE JAVA ERROR CODE 13 64 BIT#
Mine got resolved by pointing the Java version to its 64 bit version.

Keep only one class (in which you had written code) and delete others. Another way may to eliminate this is to go to the PROJECT folder src Default package. If you Eclipse folder is on a path with spaces, try moving it to a simple path such as directly to c:/eclipse.I had the same issue. Try to change the module name in the module-info.java file to the correct path. Do you get this ?Ĭan't start Eclipse - Java was started but returned exit code=13 Notice the 64-Bit Server VM in the last line.

On Windows 7, 64 bit with JDK 1.6.0_30 I get the following output : Please check the version of the JDK in the path like so by typing java -version. Problem Using an x86 Eclipse with a 圆4 JDK.įix Just point to a JDK with the same architecture as your Eclipse in your eclipse.ini file, eg:Ĭ:/java/jdk1.6.0_25_x86/jre/bin/javaw.exe
#ECLIPSE JAVA ERROR CODE 13 FULL#
Try using the full path to the jvm.dll instead of the exe files, like so : -vmĬ:/Prog/Java/jdk1.6.0_21/jre/bin/server/jvm.dll Delete the following bit from the eclipse.ini : -launcher.library Remove the launcher.library from your eclipse.ini. Try starting eclipse with hardcoded 64-bit JVM as follows :Įclipse -vm C:/java/jre/bin/server/jvm.dll The wrong version of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). This error is caused when you are attempting to start Eclipse using

Java 1.6.0_33 64 bit installed (Path-Variable is set).I saw that there are few topics with the same exception, but the solutions does not work on my side.
